This series of screenprinted posters are a celebration of colloquial words common in some parts of the Middle East. They provide a glimpse into Arabic texting and chat culture for audiences in the West. The language used in these forms of communication is referred to as ‘arabizi’ or ‘arabish’. Ra7 nwale3a means ‘we are going to light it up’, Wal3aneh translates as ‘it’s on fire’, and Tishbee7 describes a flashy display of machismo.
