Common Canvas
2018
Custom software application, projection
of digital image database
In a hyper-connected world based on digital networks, chats, and live streams, we are surrounded by fluctuating images. Detached from material origins, from aspects of time and cultural relationships, the visual world is moving together on our virtual desktops. Since visual tools are limited and developed by global companies, graphic designers constantly have to question and extend the given formats. Common Canvas provides a new drawing tool that invites international graphic design students to speculate on the important questions of our time.
