Thaakierah Abdul
Thaakierah Abdul lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a BA in Visual Communication and Design from the University of Stellenbosch, where she is currently pursuing a Masters in Visual Arts. Her practice revolves around the world of visual communication, and she sees herself as a social activist. Spurred on by feelings of isolation in the social sphere of Stellenbosch, Abdul creates visual artworks that speak of her heritage and position as a young woman in South Africa. (South Africa)
