Lizania Cruz
Lizania Cruz is a Dominican artist who lives and
works in New York City. She is interested in how migration impacts notions of citizenship, identity,
and ways of belonging. Cruz has explored these
themes in concepts that translate to printed matter, objects, and photography. She was an artist-in-
residence as part of the Create Change Program at
The Laundromat Project (New York City) and a participatory design fellow at the Design Trust
for Public Space (New York City). (Dominican
